Who We Are

Why Ivy Mix City Exists

Ivy Mix City Foundation works through humanitarian assistance, education, disability support, women's empowerment, children's support, disaster relief, sustainable livelihoods, and community development.

We are not simply an organization that gives things away. Our model moves from immediate help to dignity, from dignity to opportunity, from opportunity to self-reliance, and from self-reliance to local leadership — leaving communities stronger than we found them.

CEO & Founder

Founder & CEO, Ivy Mix City Foundation | Humanitarian Leader | Certified Chaplain | Crisis, Grief & Disaster Response Advocate Dr. Ivy Mix is a humanitarian leader, certified chaplain, and specialist in grief, crisis and trauma care whose life's work centers on protecting human dignity during moments of vulnerability. As Founder and CEO of Ivy Mix City Foundation, she leads a grassroots humanitarian organization committed to reaching people whose needs may be overlooked by larger systems, from children living with severe physical disabilities to families affected by poverty, displacement, hunger and localized disasters. Dr. Mix describes her philosophy as capitalist humanitarianism, a model of compassion that combines immediate relief with sustainable opportunity. Her approach is not simply to give, but whenever possible to help people rebuild, become economically productive, educate their children, strengthen their communities and eventually help others. Her professional experience in chaplaincy, grief, crisis and trauma has shaped another central conviction: disaster response must begin before disaster strikes. Through Ivy Mix City, she is developing a preparedness model that combines trusted grassroots networks with pre-positioned humanitarian resources, including emergency shelter, beds, blankets, food, mobility equipment and other essential supplies. Dr. Mix's vision is ambitious but deeply human: to build a new generation of humanitarian service in which ordinary people across the world are equipped to recognize suffering early, respond locally and act before a small crisis becomes a catastrophe.
